Raffaele Verre, P.Eng. LEED A.P. BD+C

President

Raffaele Verre is a Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years of experience. His mission — to help you create your Best Building — is the formation of MAT 4Site Engineers where he leads a passionate team of vibrant professionals who live by the values of quality, dedication, efficiency and respect. Raffaele is a Principal at MAT 4Site Engineers Ltd. He has gained a commendable reputation in the engineering industry with many achievements in completed commercial, residential, educational, institutional and industrial projects varying in size, complexity and location all across North America. Raffaele studied Mechanical Engineering at Ryerson University where he completed his Bachelor’s Degree with Honours. He was also on the Dean's List for 4 consecutive years. Raffaele is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Canada Green Building Council, the National Fire Protection Association, the Association of Professional Engineers, the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society (CHES) and Tec Canada.

Joe Calabria, P.Eng. LEED Green Associate

Vice President - Engineering Operations

Joe Calabria is an Electrical Engineer with over 20 years of experience. As the head of the electrical division, his mission is to help you create your Best Building and provide the best electrical engineering services. He leads a strong team of electrical engineering professionals and designers. Joe is the Vice President of Electrical Engineering at MAT 4Site Engineers Ltd. He has gained a strong reputation in the electrical engineering industry with many achievements. He has completed projects in the commercial, retail, educational, institutional and industrial sectors varying in size, complexity and locations all across Canada. He is adept to handling the day to day dealings in complex design and construction projects.  Joe has a vast array of management and construction experience. Joe has conducted numerous studies and building condition assessments of various electrical systems. Joe studied Electrical Engineering at Ryerson University where he completed his Bachelors' degree with Honours. He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Canadian Electrical Code Section 8. Joe has also completed his LEED Green Associate Certification and is also licensed across Canada with EGBC, APEGA, APEGM, APEGS, APENS, APEGNB, PEGNL and EPEI.

Anthony Colin, P.Eng. M.Eng.

Vice President - Business Development

Anthony Colin is a Professional Engineer specializing in the Mechanical Discipline with over 10 years of experience. At MAT 4Site Engineers, he leads a passionate team of Engineers and Designers that provide your Best Building Services by means of the MAT 4Site core values; quality, respect, dedication, efficiency and respect. Anthony is an Engineering Manager at MAT 4Site Engineers Ltd. with previous experience in various engineering atmospheres. He has created a trustworthy knowledgeable foundation and familiarization in commercial, residential, educational, agricultural, cultivation, institutional and industrial projects varying in size, complexity and locations across Canada and North America. Anthony studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto where he completed his Bachelors of Applied Science and Master of Engineering degrees. He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

Adrian Antony

Vice President - Business Infrastructure and Technology

Adrian Antony is an Engineering Manager and Mechanical Design Lead with MAT 4Site Engineers Ltd.  He has more than 10 years of experience in mechanical design, project management and total project delivery. He has successfully delivered many projects in various sectors. These sectors include; Healthcare, Laboratory, Pharmaceutical, Education, Corrections, Data Centre and large commercial/industrial. Adrian brings the same strategic and client-focused approach to all projects regardless of size and complexity in order to ensure the client is always left with their Best Building. He completed his Mechanical Engineering Studies at Queen’s University (Kingston, ON) and has been working in the Mechanical Consulting industry since graduating in 2008.  His technical specialties include HVAC Design, Plumbing Design, Feasibility Studies, Project Management/Delivery and Client Management. Adrian is committed to delivering the best mechanical solution and looks forward to working with you on your next project.  

Ace Glen Garcia, EIT, LEED AP, WELL AP

Intermediate Mechanical Designer & Energy Modelling Lead

Ace Garcia has a decade long experience as a mechanical designer and five of those years as an energy modeller. He has design project experiences in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for high-rise commercial buildings, data centers, laboratories, institutional and governmental projects across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, North America, UK, and Australia. Ace has successfully submitted energy models for city building permits, site plan approvals/rezoning, LEED certification, and incentive programs. He also accomplished high profile energy modelling projects such as Jewel Changi-Singapore, Modern Art Museum- Sydney, CBC HQ-Montreal, and a couple of buildings throughout Canada. Ace took his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Mapúa University in the Philippines. He is a member of Chartered Institution of Building Service Engineers(CIBSE) where he is one of the contributing authors for Buildings in Extreme Environment (BEE) - Tropical publication. A member of Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), and American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Ace chaired the Air - Subcommittee in the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and a director of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers - Western Region Saudi Arabia (PSME-WRSA).

Eric O'Connor, P.Eng.

Engineering Manager

Eric O’Connor is a Mechanical Engineer with over 8 years of experience and is a Senior Project Manager at MAT 4Site Engineers Ltd. Eric’s experience as a designer, project manager, and site construction manager provides knowledge and expertise in numerous areas of base building construction with projects ranging in budget up to $80 Million dollars. In addition to his experience with and knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, Eric specializes in design and project management of mechanical components for emergency generator systems including diesel fuel storage and fuel pumping systems. Eric has gained a commendable reputation in the engineering industry with many projects in completed commercial, residential, educational, institutional and industrial projects varying in size, complexity and locations all across Canada. Eric studied Mechanical Engineering at McGill University where he completed his Bachelors' degree. Eric is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) and the Canada Green Building Council.

Daire Kiernan

Revit Lead

Daire Kiernan joined the MAT4Site team in April 2018 as a Revit Lead. He is responsible for the continued development of Revit standards within the company and the creation and maintenance of the Revit family library. Daire also takes responsibility for providing Revit training and support to the project engineers ensuring Revit standards are maintained in the completion of projects. Having completed Bachelors’ degrees in Architectural Technology and Construction Management in Ireland, Daire has gained valuable experience working on mechanical engineering projects in Ireland, the U.K, continental Europe and across Canada.

Edwin Li, P.Eng.

Project Manager

Edwin Li is a Mechanical Designer and Project Manager at MAT 4Site Engineers Ltd. He has over 15 years of experience which include design and management of various projects involving HVAC systems, pump/piping systems, plumbing and drainage, and fire protection and suppression systems. Edwin plans and directs mechanical designers, manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs, and evaluates and approves changes that substantially impact the scope, budget, and/or schedule of a project. Edwin completed his Master’s Degree of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Western Ontario.  He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
